Health Insurance Plan Summary
Per the federal healthcare reform law (Affordable Care Act):
All employees who are currently enrolled in the District’s medical and/or Rx benefits are to receive a “Summary of Benefits & Coverage” (SBC) for the plan in which they are enrolled during open enrollment (OE). All employees enrolled with Express Scripts for prescription drug benefits would receive two SBCs – one for the medical coverage and one for the drug coverage.
All currently-enrolled employees also have the right to receive an SBC for all other plans they are eligible for.
