Antonio Abitabile, Principal

Principal Abitabile

Principal Abitabile grew up in Hudson and attended Hudson High School. He has served as Principal at Hudson High School since 2013, and as Acting Principal since 2012. He has also served as the Associate Principal for the High School, Intermediate School, and Junior High School. Principal Abitabile taught Math at Hudson High School for seven years, and at the Taconic Hills High School and the Catskill Jr./Sr. High School each for two years. He received his Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Cortland in Secondary Mathematics Education with a minor in Computer Applications, as well as his NYS Coaching Certificate. He has a Master’s degree from the College of St. Rose in Teacher Education, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Education Leadership from the College of St. Rose. He holds School Building Leader, School District Leader, and Permanent Math Education 7-12 certifications. Principal Abitabile is currently a doctoral candidate at the Sage Colleges of Albany, due to be completed by December 2018. His wife, Meghan, also attended the Hudson High School, and currently teaches Social Studies there. Their two children, Gavin, 6, and Ellis, 3, can often be seen at various school functions.


Robert LaCasse, Associate Principal

Robert LaCasse

Robert LaCasse has served as the Associate Principal of Hudson Senior High School since 2014. He is a member of the Hudson High School Class of 1994. Prior to serving as Associate Principal, Mr. LaCasse served as the high school’s Dean of Students. Previously, he taught Social Studies and Economics at the High School for 10 years while coaching football and baseball. Mr. LaCasse’s first teaching job in the Hudson City School District was 6th grade Social Studies at Hudson Junior High School. Mr. LaCasse holds a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Cortland in Elementary Education and Secondary Social Studies. His Master’s degree is from the College of St. Rose in Literacy Education, where he also earned his School District Leader Certification through the College of St. Rose’s Institute for New Era Educational Leadership and Innovation Program. His wife, Heather, is also a graduate of Hudson High School. They have a six-year-old son, Caleb, and a three-year-old son, Connor.
